I remember they made a toy of Spider-Man wearing armor that he never wore in the show. Then the Super Nintendo game came along and made it a power up. Stuff like this happened all the time with Star Wars, too. Random Chewbacca variants, Han with a bright orange chest armor chassis that fired missiles, etc. Sadly I don't think any of it appeared in games, though. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. ...
