What exactly are the positions you're getting interviews for? Manufacturing for instance is going to require a different mindset from something like engineering. Does the company have a technical interview portion to showcase your problem solving skills? Or is it strictly behavioral? Is your interview pipeline mostly through recruiters or are you talking to actual engineering staff?

Honestly what the fuck are you going to tell me

Manufacturing is focused on OEE and 6Sigma, engineering is more creative problem solving and new ideas

HR interviews I need to play the game and show I'd get along with the company culture, technical assessment from engineers I need to show that I care more about collaboration and solving technical problems

I am so fucking burnt out with this God damn song and dance. Companies would be a whole lot more successful if they didn't waste time and resources on looking for a fucking unicorn and then putting them through a detrimental and wasteful interview process that only disqualifies good candidates for inane reasons like "he touched his face too often" or "his handshake wasn't strong enough." Maybe instead of looking for your unicorn you make your company better and reward your employees to make them stay. You think Costco or Chik Fil A simply hires better people than Walmart or McDonald's? Fuck no it's the environment they promote that makes the employees enjoy working there.
