Phones have definitely disrupted the gaming industry. I don't think there's any more mobile gaming devices aside from hardcore followers that niche has been swallowed by the mobile tech industry. Streaming games will become more of a norm as televisions become more like consoles and with internet speeds set to go even after than ever we're looking at a new era of gaming. Movies are also going to transform into more interactive adventures where the audience can use wireless devices to make choices for the protagonist, this will bring in mega bucks for the entertainment industry as they can make several endings for one movie so people will want to re-watch movies to get different endings. It's a whole lot of what ifs but I see consoles just like I see desktops, completely obselete. I can plug in a thumb drive and turn my TV into a smart TV, you're telling me I need this huge console and disks that I have to go and get or order online in order to play a game; mega outdated if you ask me.
