Except for the one horrible case with former chief Louis Kealoha and his wife (but at least they got convicted), there's almost never any negative news on the cops here. And I've seen some good stuff happen too. Like there was a homeless guy who punched a guy at the bus stop, pushed over a Japanese tourist, then stabbed the cop near his neck with a screwdriver while trying to take his gun. With the help of a passerby, the cop was able to subdue and arrest the hobo without any excessive force that the media loves to report on.
