This kind of sounds like the Wilpons faked an injury on purpose for him because they knew healthy they were gonna get a mostly cash/bad prospect return so now if they do wind up trading him they can justify that behavior. I'm like 99% sure this is their line of thinking, without even caring that an injury hurts his trade value and the value they'd get back. Could also be because they don't want him to have any more implosions (again, not thinking). The timing is just too perfect to be anything other than fake. There was no prior indication he had any other injury and he's just going on with fatigue, not a real injury. Fuck the Wilpons.
