republicans are 'strong' because their entire belief system is projection and high school bully mentality

being strong is:
-ganging up on the weak and powerless because you are scared/insecure/disgusted/horny
-worshiping power, lacking in internal self worth and needing to find it in external factors like their wealth, job, nation, race, etc.
-being afraid if we don't exert power to dominate others then they will just do it to us because they cannot imagine other people not thinking exactly like they do
-an individualistic obsession bordering on narcissism that rejects social obligations and the importance of a society beyond setting up exploitable rules for their own dominance over it

so yeah you can point out that they are evil, hypocrites, stupid, whatever, they don't care. and they already won. they got liberals to think they had to pretend to be exactly like them to win, and for decades and decades we have just been lurching to the right and taking losses for playing their game. when you hear a right winger say that you need to abandon all of your principles and act like them to win, maybe just consider how that person is an asshole, untrustworthy, and not looking out for your interests!
