Have y'all ever watched a football game?

Its like the most boring thing possible. Theres like 30 seconds of something happening for every 10 minutes of Everyone just standing around

Im sorry mead but in this case, you have no idea what youre talking about.

No, he's actually pretty accurate. In a game that takes 3 hrs to play, there is on average something like 15 minutes of actual play. The average play takes about 8 seconds from snap to whistle. Unless you count walking/jogging back to the the huddle, huddling up, and walking/jogging to their positions to be action.

Very close. I would have guessed 15 as well. It's 11 minutes of play. And over 100 commercials per game

I was going by memory. I wasn't aware of the commercial count, though.

I'd forgotten just how boring a football game was until I went to an NFL game about a decade ago, and was forced to only watch THAT game -- other than a college game where some plants I walked by on the way to the stadium flared up my allergies something fierce to where I barely paid any attention to the game, I hadn't been to a game for 10-15 years before that. Because I'd been watching football exclusively on TV, there was always several games to flip around to during commercial breaks. The biggest waste of time was when someone scored a TD. It's TD, TV break, PAT, TV break, kickoff, TV break.
