It depends on what kind of therapy you're taking. There're treatments focused on handling your anger, giving you tools to recognize when you're angry and how to deal with it. There are treatments more aimed at figuring out why you're angry, which would probably be about revisiting your childhood and coming to terms with what made you angry back then, etc.

at this point, i believe my problem was more than 1 cause. it's like bipolar or similar disease. like it isn't just angry. it's pure rage. seething, boiling rage.

What is intermittent explosive disorder?

Intermittent explosive disorder (IED) is a condition that involves sudden outbursts of rage, aggression, or violence. These reactions tend to be irrational or out of proportion to the situation.

While most people lose their temper once in a while, IED involves frequent, recurring outbursts. Individuals with IED might throw tantrums, destroy property, or attack others verbally or physically.

Read on to learn some common signs of IED.
What are the symptoms?

The impulsive, aggressive episodes that characterize IED can take many forms. Some behaviors that might be signs of IED include:

yelling and shouting
intense arguments
temper tantrums and rampages
threats
road rage
punching walls or breaking plates
damaging property
physical violence, such as slapping or shoving
fights or brawls
domestic violence
assault

These spells or attacks often occur with little to no warning. They are short-lived, rarely lasting longer than half an hour. They may appear alongside physical symptoms, such as:

increased energy (adrenaline rush)
headache or head pressure
heart palpitations
chest tightness
muscle tension
tingling
tremors

i don't even feel pain during a typical epside. like wednesday incident, the pain on my fist only came when i calmed down.

i have punched a door bloody and did not notice until i saw my arm covered with blood. after 1 hour or so the pain came.

headache always happen, as well as other symptoms. i have tremors in some of the worse days. my hands would tremble and i am sweating bullets
