Topic	Why are Californians so obsessed with competition / their appearance?

I know I have a manager who's from Kansas that moved to LA specifically for the position he has at our firm. He's decorated af with a very impressive resume and work experience. But of course I have a feeling this topic was made specifically for trolling, so whatever at this point. So asking a question about a state is trolling? Maybe it wouldn't be so annoying if I wasn't constantly surrounded by these people. So you're saying that most of the California transplants aren't from there? Is California not a state that is obsessed with their status / appearance? You were doing more than just asking a question, but making belittling answers like generalizing hippies and leftists, hence why I felt you were trolling. Anyways with that aside, what you describe are over achievers and I gave my guess as to why these over achievers are flocking over to cities like LA and SF. A lot of executives I know from Accounting Firms in LA aren't even native here and came here for the very reasons I stated. Like my manager from Kansas, which his degree and titles, it would absolutely be useless over there vs. here where he is making a comfortable 6 figures and moving up the ranks faster than me. Hell, I'm not even originally from LA, I moved from a rural area in Southern Texas mostly because of the job opportunities. So yes you can say these overachievers care about their status/appearance because it appeals to them. A lot of natives from the area don't give a shit and if you're surrounded by assholes, then get new company. --- It's what all true warriors strive for!
