Why buy an old version of the game when you can get a new, different version of the game next year? Everything I've heard about the recent SoM remake indicates that they ruined what made it good while fixing none of its flaws. So in this case I don't trust a remake to deliver the 'proper' experience. Not getting Secret of Mana 2 (as Nintendo Power labeled it back in the day) remains one of my biggest gaming disappointments. Buying the Mana Collection was the least hesitant I've ever been about overpaying for a product. I might have even shelled out 40 bucks for Trials alone. I'm dying to finally experience this game as it was originally released (or as close as possible to it). --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ...
