| Ogurisama 06/11/19 4:34:57 PM #25: | May 27th: Left Calgary May 28th: Landed in Amsterdam at 8am, Just walked around, and bed early cause of jet lag May 29th: Went to the Moco Museum (Amsterdams Museum of modern art) and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. May 30th: Het Scheepvaartmuseum (Maritime Museum) May 31st: Heineken Experience June 1st: Changed hotels, also went back into Amsterdam, and went to a sex museum. June 2nd: Flew to Nuremberg. Got onto the river boat. Thats about it really. (Every coarse has 2, while the main always had 3 choices and Palate Cleanser was one and only on the gala nights, I am just posting what I had) Dinner Appetizer - Black Forest Ham with Cranberry Horseradish and pickles Soup - "Fladle Soup" Chicken Bouillon with Panke Stripes Main - Pork Tenderloin with Honey-Herb coat, Glazed Vanilla Carrors, Burgunder Red Wine Sauce and Local Potatoes Dessert - Black Forest Cake Ice Cream I went to bed shortly after dinner. June 3rd: Bamberg, Germany. Walking tour of the city. Had a beer tasting of a "smoke beer" that was really good. Had a bit of a ham taste to it. Had free time to walk around the city. Left for our next destination at around 1:15pm. There was a battleship Scattegories activity in the afternoon, I went and checked it out. Captain Welcome Gala Dinner Appetizer - Sour Cream Mousse with Cucumber Carpaccio, Wasabi Mayonnaise, and Spiced Mango Soup - Fennel Essence with Cherry Tomatoes, and Cress Palate Cleanser - Black Currant Sorbet and Mango Punch Main - Trilogy of Lamb with Rosemary Sauce, Rataouille, and Potato Gratin Dessert - Vanilla Ice Cream (the choices all had Strawberry in it, in which I am allergic) June 4th: Wurzburg, Germany. We landed early so I went around town a bit on my own. Tour started early afternoon. We toured Residence (A prince bishops palace) After that a wine tasting. Dinner Appetizer - Mushroom Risotto with Blue Cheese Soup - Pumpkin Cream Soup with Roasted Walnut Main - Whole-Roasted Beef Rump with Cognac-Pepper Cream Sauce, Sugar Snaps, and Pommes Crockets Desserts - Panna Cotta with Sour Cherry Compote After dinner, name that tune - was mostly older music (like 40s-60s), so i didnt do great. June 5th: Wertheimm Germany. Walking tour in the morning. This is where the asshole hornet got me. And I died. Now just a ghost haunting PotD forever! Joking aside. I walked up to a castle there, that was cool. Later we bused to the next town of Miltenberg. Had a hike up in the forest that sat on a hill/mountain above the town. That was really nice. Though the walk was made worse as my ankle being sore from the sting/bite. There was a cool Glass blowing demonstration back on the boat. And no, he didnt burn down the boat. I got my mom a glass humming bird. Her bday just passed while I was on the boat. So I got her something I knew she would love while there. Dinner Appetizer - Salad Leaves with Gratinated Goat Cheese and Pear Vinaigrette Soup - Chicken Veloute with wholemeal Croutons Main - Pickled Beef "Rhineland Style" with Red Cabbage and Potato Dumplings Desert - Chocolate Brownie with Pear Fig Chutney June 6th: Koblenz, Germany. Early morning, watched us sail up to the Rhine river. This was the coldest day while sailing. Later date, we hit an area called "Lorelet Rock passing" one of the most dangerous parts of the Rhine for sailing. Had a city tour of Koblenz, and went up to a fortress named Ehrenbreitstein. Anther wine tasting back on the ship that evening before dinner. Dinner Appetizer - Garden Greens with Fried Salami, Oyster Mushrooms and Raspberry Vinaigrette. Soup - Carrot Soup "chili" Main - "Supreme of Duck" Sliced Duck Breast and Leg with Mediterranean Vegetables, Herb Gnocchi and Cranberry Jus Dessert - Apricot Pancake, Nougat Sauce replaced with Walnut Ice Cream with Pear Compote Rosemary Honey, and Egg Liquear Sauce --- ...
