In addition, it started up in the aftermath of another sexual assault scandal in the anime fan community. Given those two facts, I don't see how Beard and friends can establish that Monica, Ron, and Jamie's accounts were either knowingly false - since they had their own alleged experiences with him - or made with a reckless disregard for their truth or falsity - given that the beginning of the public accounts against him started in the aftermath of another scandal that they (as far as I can tell) largely had no involvement in. ...
