If you want something a little more subdued and grounded, there's the anime Joker Game, which follows the stories of Japanese spies around the time of WW2. If you find that interesting to watch, then I'd recommend Kokou no Hito, it's a manga about a guy who devoted his life to mountain climbing and struggles to adapt to society.
