used to have a facebook account, which i closed a while ago
the constant and vapid displays of narcissism on there just became way too much for me (not that i didn't used to engage in that shit too) - like, shit was straight disillusioning
and like, honestly, if your "friends" aren't people who can be bothered to maintain regular to semi-regular contact with you (whether it be through texts, calls, or even - god forbid - meetings in person when possible), and all you know them for are where they went on vacation recently or what they had for lunch the other day, then they really aren't people worth knowing at all imo
i also started to value my privacy a lot more within the last year or two or so, so there was that too
If you made a Facebook account in the past the account still exists even though you closed it. Ive closed and reopened my Facebook account multiple times. It basically cant be deleted for real ---
