I look at Ground Zeroes and it's basically a flawless MGS experience--short, but extremely dense with detail, cutscenes, dialogue, and awesome gameplay moments. They took a small military base and turned it into one of the most memorable environments of my video game career. I still have the layout memorized based on me and my brother playing Ground Zeroes to absolute death--we got 100% completion with S ranks on every mission and all side objectives completed twice, once on PS3 and once on PS4. Dozens of hours. We played Phantom Pain through once between the two of us, handing off the controller to get through the endless barrage of filler missions and occasionally getting hyped when something actually happened.
