Anyone that agrees that killing it was the only course of action just hates living creatures.
Look, that's not even the biggest issue.
Whether or not one agrees with killing it, the biggest issue is why record it? Why show it? Why?
It's not funny. It's not something to show off or brag about. If someone feels it needs to be done, then it should have been a more solemn/serious thing than this. I'm not going to damn someone for panicking, whether or not I agree with what was done is honestly irrelevant when it comes to killing or not. People can do stupid things in the moment if the panic, and I can imagine someone panicking with that situation. My sister, who isn't scared of like anything, calls me crazy for scaring raccoons off. They've always been more scared of me than I am of them, and I'm always pretty careful about it. But people get really scared of raccoons it seems like sometimes.
I am going to say the following actions show someone who doesn't find it to be a big deal and lacks the common sense to realize it's a bad idea.
(Here I am, lack of common sense in hand, posting here. Still having more common sense than to kill something, film it, and show that.)
The biggest issue might be recording it. But another big issue is the glee he took in causing it to drown... ---
