Well, you can make noise from just the fingers but the principle noise is the finger hitting the palm. Your second finger is just creating tension to make the slap harder.


My fingers don't even touch my palm when I snap.

How do you snap your fingers? The sound comes from the finger slapping against the fat pad at the base of the thumb, which is part of the palm, for everyone that I've ever seen snapping their fingers.
