Alluded to, but not really earned. I had a thought in the shower - would've liked for Dany to NOT go mad queen, but Cersei set up a wildfire trap that basically caused a chain reaction when Dany attacked the Red Keep. Turn the populace against Dany, so that when everyone thinks Dany went bad and killed all the innocents, she would snap and start roasting.
