The water condensation would lead to further oxidizing of the contact pins though.

Rubbing alcohol is the best.

Suppose your rubbing alcohol is 40% rubbing alcohol.

Have you never wondered what the remaining 60% is?


That's why you grab the highest % rubbing alcohol you can get. I get 90%. You also use a Q-Tip to ensure that residue does not stick around the pins.

Still gonna be a lot more water than is gonna get condensated out of your breath.
