When it came out, the PlayStation was my older brothers console, and I wasnt allowed to touch it, as he (rightfully) feared Id break it or mess up his saves. Eventually I was old enough to be trusted not to destroy a console, but by then, the game was much harder to find. Author never played FF7 so they never saw Barretts original dialogue either. And FF7 was never, at any point in time, difficult to get.
