wasn't God technically villainous in the Jewish bible, he wasn't anything like what Christianity portrays him to be, ok?

besides, God having human like faults makes him more likable, and believable from a story perspective, ok?

Not really. God takes a harsh action against sin in the Bible, Jewish and Christian, but he isnt villainous. Hes facing off against s greater threat (allowing sin to thrive is evil and would corrupt and condemn all of humanity) thats true for both Jewish and Christian faiths.

Difference is Jewish faith believes God will take actions as harsh if they arent careful.
Christians believe that price is paid and we now do good to please God, not because we are fighting sin to save our souls

feels like the later is an excuse to avoid effort, ok?

That would be impossible since God is omnipresent and all powerful in the bible.

how doesn't he see things coming, existence in our dimension must feel like an exercise in futility on his part, ok?
