Divergent is another Young Adult series that also had movies but wasn't as popular or famous as Harry Potter. humans in the future are sorted into like, "clans" based on their personality type

Divergent is weird in that it tries to be some sort of Harry Potter/Hunger Games hybrid (I've never read any of the books, I've only seen the first movie and I kinda got the gist of it)

But instead of houses or even clans, it's really more like a caste system.

You got the poor castes: Abnegation and Amity
The wealthier castes: Erudite and Candor
And finally the warrior caste: Dauntless (well, if you count running around doing parkour being a "warrior")

What's really weird is that when a person comes of age they undergo a test that determines what faction they'll be in for the rest of their lives, and it's not necessarily the one they're born into. The weird part is that the person is still free to choose whichever faction they want regardless of the results.

It makes you wonder why anyone would choose Abnegation or Amity, which are essentially the poor and working classes respectively. (Erudite is like the bureaucrat faction while Candor is the lawyer/scientist faction)

Whatever.
