I agree, the X1 has an extremely poor UI, and incredibly bloated installs that fill a 500gb hard drive in no time.
It's still my pick of this generation home consoles, great exclusives, plus multiplats and backward compatibility.
aren't most of them available on pc? not really exclusive
Exclusive to game consoles. I haven't built a gaming computer since 1999. I only keep a 12-year-old PC for mailing invoices.
Why would I want to spend a kilobuck building a gaming computer that will be obsolete as soon as I put the last screw in the case, when I can buy a $150 used console that's good for years?
I haven't read all of the topic, but you do know that it's not true anymore, right?
Like I built a slightly budget gaming PC in 2011 which was able to play most games on decent framerate without any upgrades until I decided to finally upgrade the GFX card that was bottle necking the PC in 2014, and that PC lasted me until I lost it to ex-wife in 2016. I probably still could a lot of the newer games on it, and if it couldn't, it most likely wouldn't take much of an upgrade.
Most experts agree that we're at the point where upgrading often isn't necessary at all.
Thats also if you buy/build a PC... Instead of a laptop, that is... ---
