There's just no respect for adults in a lot of schools anymore.

I've been working as a Teacher's Aide for 4 months and I've already been attacked twice. One kid whipped an apple at me hard enough to leave a small bruise and the other grabbed my arm and punched me 3 or 4 times. Some of my co-workers have had kids threaten to kill them and their family. I also had one kid joke about telling someone I "tried to rape her." And that's all just elementary school. I would never, ever work in a middle school or high school.

Worst thing is, nothing ever really happens to the kids. Most of them get detention for a day or two, maybe a call home or a short suspension, but then they just come back and continue the same behaviors.
