And Norway didn't resume whaling until the turn of the millennium after a study of a population of species that were traditionally ignored, the Minke Whale. And even then they set the quota at around 1200, and barely half of it's taken. The Faroe Islands have always done it traditionally, and Denmark is stuck managing that since the Faroes are legally Danish territory.


They've been following the rules and using a legal loophole. Greenland just ignored the rules because no one would do anything about it. Other countries also use loopholes but no ones cares. Weird you talk about Norway only hunting Minke whale after doing a population study when Japan hunts the exact same whale and also did a population study. If you're trying to argue Japan isn't being singled out you're doing a terrible job at it.
