The TC says he is on the 5 GB plan, but he doesn't say what carrier he uses. Some carriers are more expensive than others. I personally use the Cricket 2 GB plan, and it is indeed only $30 per month. The Cricket 5 GB plan is $40 per month though, but 2 GB is plenty for my needs. Cricket also uses the AT&T tower network, so coverage is good. The catch as to why Cricket is cheaper is because your download speed is limited to 8 Mbps. Honestly though, unless you are downloading large files, 8 Mbps is plenty fast enough. Why would you be downloading large files on a phone anyway? Large downloads typically happen on a PC, not a phone. If you want proof of Cricket's prices, just go to their website.
