If the labs you're ordering for an individual are directly related to medical decision making, and the individual has the right to refuse them, you don't have to literally explain every lab you order, unless you love hearing about lipase, HgbA1C and whatnot. I know people lose their shit over the right to (not) be drug tested, but a UDS isn't meant to send you to jail, it's to guide proper medical decision making, the consent of which is implied by the fact that you willingly stuck out your arm to give blood.
