Magic is real; elves, dwarves, trolls, dragons and many other mythical creatures used to exist on this very planet. But every single one of those creatures became proud, and began to kill and destroy. It was then that humans, the most powerful of earthly beings, had to put a stop to the bloodshed. And so under the eye and protection of God, they brought all these ancient races and beings to utter extinction. They did not disappear completely though. All earthly souls are ancient, they are caught in endless reincarnation cycles until all are saved. The BC era was full of warfare and many people went to hell. In the CE era no one goes to actual hell; they go to a place that looks like hell until they repent. Once they do, they are reincarnated again.
