Basically they gained power by making the Jewish people into a scapegoat for all the troubles in the nation, then from there eventually justified violence, and concentration camps. Nazism is horrendous, and I will never condone it, but I will defend the rights of people tp hold horrendous beliefs because once you justify silencing someone, it gets very easy to justify silencing others.
