I will admit Golden Sun and The Lost Age are one of the very first RPGs I have ever played (Pokemon aside)
I know there is a common saying (at least in /v/) "baby's first RPG" and it usually applies to Golden Sun, and I know some people might think it's nostalgia, but I disagree. I don't think my love for the Golden Sun series is because of nostalgia or because it's one of my first RPGs

The thing is, Golden Sun has something that other RPGs I have played lacked, and it alone sets a standard that other games I played after it failed to meet - puzzles in dungeons
When I played Final Fantasy I on the GBA, thinking about how it was "the most popular RPG series ever" I was so disappointed by how boring the dungeons are, but it's the first game, maybe it gets better, right?
Well, it NEVER got better, the Final Fantasy games barely have dungeons with puzzles, but those games make up to it in other ways, so I like them a lot too

But Golden Sun puzzles are fantastic. The dungeons are not just "go from point A to point B". They have unique designs and every dungeon has it's own unique puzzles with different psynergy use
You can complain about whatever you want regarding Golden Sun, about too much text, bad battle system, whatever, but if you say something bad about the dungeons I think I need to question your gaming opinions
