If you think shooting somebody is a warning shot then you have absolutely no fucking idea what a warning shot is.

I think I've shot people and dealt with people in confrontations if you're at the point where you nee a warning shot it's not going to factor in. You think shooting into the air while a drunk guy is trying to stab and strangle someone is going to stop him you don't know how combat situations play out.

If you're robbing a bank or trying to stop an unarmed attack and you draw your gun that's enough warning for a rational reasonable person. If you are to the point where you fire a "warning" shot you might as well just shoot the person because you're wasting ammo.
