The sheer mindbending shock of the reality that is a single human being compared to the rest of the cosmos is earthshattering. Why would they cross the border, when in reality their reasons for crossing are so infetismally minute as to be completely meaningless. Why flee from cartel violence when those gangsters and their guns, which seem like an insurmountable obstacle, are really nothing more than the sliver of a picosecond, as far as the vast cosmos is concerned? Anyone crossing the border will be stuck in the throes of existential terror and border security can just escort them right on back. --- Who is?
