My neighbors are smoking cigs and weed in their apartment and it's coming up through the heating vents again. It's making my apartment reek. They refuse to go outside because it's winter, but it's also against their lease to smoke inside. I reported them last week because talking to them didn't work. Apparently the landlord doesn't care or they told us all to fuck off. I thought stoners were supposed to be all chill? Any advice? It stops when the heat is off, but it's winter in Boston.

Bump

Can't you keep complaining til he does something about it? If not, is there anyway to mask / dispel the smell?

I called again today and heard the same story, "I'll have Bruce go over and talk to them today."

Almost word for word what they said last week. We've been using Febreze in the vents, but there's a vent in every room, Febreze wears off fast when the heat dries it out, and they smoke all hours of the night and day. I'm grateful it's going to be warm enough today and tomorrow to keep the heat off. The smell only comes up when the heat is blowing.

I actually made a filter for the living room vent using dryer sheets and some cardboard. It worked good for two days. I guess I'll have to make some more to keep our Christmas from stinking. Neighbors are great.

As a pothead against snitching, get the cops involved if they're being fucks and the apartment manager ain't doing anything about it. It's not hard at all to keep the smell contained even in a closed up room.

Can it be that it was all so simple then?
