At least when we told kids they could be an astronaut, even if it wasn't true it made them want to do well in school and learn science and go to college. You have about the same chance of being successful on youtube but when you fail there's no reasonable career backup.

Um yes there is. You can produce, engineer, direct etc. You have a portfolio. Nobody that's skilled enough to cultivate and maintain an audience through their own content, is ever without opportunities. That's kind of the beauty of it.
