And note that he died in 1955, well before he could see the horrors of the 20th century Socialist experiments in the Soviet Union, Ukraine, Romania, China, etc.
Nonsense, soviet purges in the 20s-30s were well known in the west. They just didn't care because the soviets weren't as big of a threat, so that's historical revisionism. ---
