Agaisnt all odds, we get a Microsoft rep--a rep from one of Nintendo's major competitors--and it's the avatar from Minecraft instead of the long-requested Banjo & Kazooie who actually has their roots with Nintendo (and where their most beloved games were originally released).

Now, I can understand why that is; Minecraft is a global phenomenon that has made hundreds of millions and is extremely popular with younger players especially. Meanwhile, Banjo-Kazooie is a dead franchise that has not seen a new game since 2008, and said game was very controversial at that; it's really only remembered by older gamers at this point, since Microsoft and Rare refuses to do anything with it.

Still, Banjo & Kazooie just seem like an overdue inclusion in Smash.
