After he found out that you became an item with someone else on the forum, he probably just couldn't cope. Probably felt inferior or something. That's likely why he lashed out, and things just kinda snowballed from there. Unrequited love is a fuckin' terrible joke of nature. It can cause tremendous torture on the mind, and influence people to behave in unfavorable ways.
