That's really pretty much all they're good for.
Accuracy drops to essentially nothing, just to half-ass sneak in the "ratatatatat" effect. The only way to actually hit anything is to fire into a crowd.

The same general effect can be had by just holding the gun loosely, or sticking a tennis ball between the buttstock and your shoulder.

Okay. So how many shootings are done with bumpstocks? I don't have issues with banning them I just feel like its not something to get worked up about on the pro-gun control side. They don't seem to be used at all outside of that one iconic instance and the threat of a ban has probably lead to the circulation of them increasing three fold.
