He was contracted to a company and his dispatcher (and the person responsible for auditing his behavior) worked with some friends of mine, so I got to hear about it from them. The story doesn't end there: said dispatcher was the wife of my coworker in a totally unrelated workplace and he wouldn't shut up about it. Small goddamn world.
