A kind of gritty survival action game set in a post apocalyptic world with a deadly virus which turns people into deadly infected carriers (more deadly the longer they've had it). Therefore overwhelming power is used to keep people quarantined. Joel and Ellie scavenge supplies and weapons to eke through encounters and survive. More serious than RE4 but not entirely dissimilar. Very strong writing and characterisation (though people will debate e.g. the ending). Best played in long sittings I would suggest - can easily be knocked out out in 2-3 days.
