Dogs are sentient. They can experience pain, fear, suffering, etc. They can also experience pleasure (I dont mean it in a sexual way duh) and happiness.

You dont acquire a living, breathing being who can experience all that and then treat it like a fucking toy.

They are pretty much babies, they are sentient, alive and fully dependent on you.


I'm not against pets. I've had and loved dogs and cats all my life and they are or were like family to me. I just hate that term so much for some reason.


I feel the same way. It's also a peeve of mine when people talk baby talk to their pets. I always talk to my dogs like I would another human..... hmmm, I wonder if they understand sarcasm?


Getting a dog to laugh would be a feat in and of itself. Getting nice, good hearted chuckle from one would be amazing.
