Okay, and how does a poor person with no job, no insurance, and cancer seek treatment in the US? Go to hospital? They cant deny service even if you cant pay. They can financially ruin you. Debt collectors calling your phone and harassing you at home. People in this country have declared bankruptcy over medical bills and that isnt right. They already dont have a job, and bankruptcy isnt as bad as it sounds. "Just declare bankruptcy so you don't die!" Do you understand how utterly heartless and clueless that sounds? Yeah, seriously. Sometimes its easy to be idealistic about these things until people close to you get railroaded over an unexpected injury. NOBODY should receive a $10,000 bill from the hospital for a plaster cast and an X-ray. Nobody should be forced to have PAYMENT PLANS for a medical emergency.
