This is all I've gotten from them. Came home from work so I have my laptop. Can't ssh in right now, and my DO account is locked. There is a second ticket opened Wednesday about a dmca complaint, but it includes no info and they never sent me an email about it. Waiting to hear back about unlocking the server temporarily to switch hosts

Translation: We're being pressured by reddit/imgur and ideologues who happen to have a bunch of CP lying around on their harddrives that are trying to do the same exact thing to imgtc that they did to slimgur.

reddit hard bans all OP links to slimgur, the image host announced recently as a competitor to imgur due to imgur's political/ideological censorship of fat criticism images. imgur and reddit have common investors.

I remember that happening, you're right. I made a post on that sub to get other peoples feedback too. Maybe it is some underhanded attempt to stifle competition, seeing as how imgtc was growing solidly all summer long.

Have you considered migrating to AWS?

Yes, but their bandwidth costs would've killed me in the beginning. I think it's something like $65+ per terabyte, whereas the first 4tb are free with my current host
