I'm on Effexor and Abilifi and maybe another one.

Do they help you? What side effects do they cause for you

They keep me alive and not crying 24/7. It took a few weeks to get the combination right.

Let it be known that I, of my own thinking, figured out that my 6 AM anti-diarrhea medicine was screwing up my morning Effexor.

Not bad for a silly Communication major.

Oh thats interesting. I know it can take a good while to get meds right tbh
They started me on Lexapro and my body was having NONE of it lmao it was horrific

"Lexapro" sounds familiar.

*puffs*

With a medical history like mine, things all get blurred together.

Lexapro is a common starter anti anxiety med, aka escitalopram. I'm on it and have no ill effects, though I'm apparently on the max dose anyone is comfortable prescribing. It doesn't go high.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Works better than any antidepressant IMO. Now that Ive got it down pat I dont see anyone anymore either.

It has worked wonders for me. I havent been on antidepressants for fours years now. It has helped immensely in my career as well for stress management.

Oooh, Ill check it out

CBT should come well before meds, your shrink isn't doing things correctly for you. You need to ask them what prompted them to medicate you without therapy and thoroughly grill them on the issue.
