Zelda- Jesus. Where do I begin? Pre-contest, many said she wouldnt defeat Squall. And even if she did, she wouldnt be Sonic. The bandwagon stopped there because nobody expected her to make it any further. Then her first few matches came along and it was apparent that she was going to win her division. Once she put a clinic on Squall, she became the favorite to defeat Sonic. But people did not want to admit it. Once she beat Sonic, everyone said shed lose to Solid Snake. Then she beat him too. Then she even beat big brother Mario! She simply did not know how to lose. When she went against Link, she was beating him for the first several updates! The biggest surprise is that she lost to Cloud. It was clear that her strength increased with each match, just barely enough for her to squeak out victories, but not enough for her to make it to the finals and get bodied by her lover. Perhaps it was for the best.

Tifa- Was there a single person who thought that she was going to defeat Sephiroth? Did anyone actually have that in their bracket? Would Mega Man X have done what Tifa did had he beaten her? Who knows. Everyone said FFVII was on the decline and all its characters were doomed. Well, Tifa must have been wearing some Ignore Defense armor when facing her competition this contest as she lollygagged her way through her division. Her reward was a ticket to Ladies Night Out with second-strongest-in-the-server Samus. She lost. But thats okay, because she would then go up against Sephiroth. And we all know how that ended. She reigned supreme and became the strongest character in FFVII not named Cloud. She would later want to get handsy with Samus on their second date, but Samus closed the door on that just as promptly as the first time. It would have been nice to see how Tifa fared against some of the other Noble Niners, but such is the way of a contest. Remember, everyone was anti-Final Fantasy regarding its characters performance pre-contest. Tifa, like Cloud, scoffed.

Sephiroth- You know who didnt scoff? This guy. Although he completely annihilated his competition pre-Legends bracket, he completely dropped the ball in the Losers bracket. He first went against Mario, his personal whipping boy back in the day, and utterly got murked. This one wasnt even remotely close. To put this one into perspective, Mario did to Sephiroth what Sephiroth did to Ryu. How does that make sense? Anyway, Sephiroths next match would be against Tifa. Surely, he who only finished in the top five in every contest ever would win this match, right? Against a female from the same game as him, right? Wrong. Whether there was some funky form of rSFF or SJW or whatever, this is one of the most humiliating defeats of all-time. He still isnt the weakest Noble Niner, but jeez, this was a contest Sephiroth will like to forget.
