It is very strange how in many places in the west we are content to just use a bit of paper for our arse when we'd insist on soap and water were it anywhere else.

-TP is effective enough
-Showering regularly cleans it anyway
-That's what underwear is for, first line of defense
-Wet wipes are cheap and in abundance if you feel TP isn't enough and people don't give a fuck about pipes
-As I said before the thought of an in the bowl bidet is more disgusting than the concept of TP

- If you got poo on you, you'd immediately wash and scrub with water and soap
- Might not shower for another 12 hours. Long time to keep poo on you
- Why not be clean in the first place
- That's fine honestly, but many people still don't use wet wipes and find the idea odd
- I guess I can understand people might find it odd, but something that can easily be got used to.

Until someone diarrhea explodes all over it and it's shooting other people's poo up other people's bums. There's no getting used to that.
