That would be if his support system didn't take him home and baby him with ice cream to make him feel better. At 9 years old it's completely the parents fault. If I had a kid that was getting pudgy I would bring up all the stuff fat people can't do daily and other stuff they go through. And then give him all the tools to prevent it.
