FFX is really good. There's a lot of dramatic irony on replays since the player knows that Yuna is on a pilgrimage to her death but Tidus doesn't for a very long time. This makes his childish behavior even more cringeworthy, much more than on a first playthrough where he's already up there. In my opinion he only really turns that around after he learns what he is and what permanently defeating Sin means for him: Having his and Yuna's roles reversed.
