Right now the left has a stranglehold on most of society outside government, so kids of that generation skew right because it's rebellion against their parents. It's the same as in the 90s when kids skewed left at a time when christian groups were getting music banned from Wal-Mart. There's no bigger thing at play. It's just the pendulum doing its thing, and it would be a mistake to look at those kids and think "what a hateful generation we're raising" because all you're doing is being yet another form of "kids were better back in MY DAY *shakes cane*" --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
