Do parents ever think of how much of a pain in the ass that will be when their kid has to spell out their name several times for someone, only to have them still get it wrong? My sister in law spelled my niece's name Aimee. Instead of just Amy. I named my kid David. Yes pre digital age. Aimee is the french spelling so that's legit.
